Just about recently it has emerged a 2015 video of Courtney Love who gave advice to women in Hollywood not to go on private parties with sexual predator Harvey Weinstein, which shows how well-known the ’open secret’was.
But the warning takes on greater emphasis when the widow of rock star Kurt Cobain responded Saturday to explain what happened to her after that.
“If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party in the Four Seasons, don’t go,” Love blurted out at a red carpet event when asked for words of wisdom for women trying to make it in Hollywood.
After the video went viral Saturday, Love said to social media that she was not “one of the victims“, but though she paid a huge price for her candor on Weinstein, and eternally banned by the Creative Artists Agency, the prestigious Los Angeles based talent agency.
“Although I wasn’t one of his victims, I was eternally banned by CAA for speaking out against Harvey Weinstein.”
TMZ shared a video of Love and actress Jessica Chastain seen together with Harvey Weinstein at the Sunset Tower Hotel in 2012, seven years after she issued a warning at the red carpet.
It seems that there is no love between them.
Either way, on the heels of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences expelling Weinstein, the world awaits a reaction from the Creative Artists Agency.
Here’s a sampling of responses to that effect from Twitter:
