Melania Trump Has Been Honored With Humanitarian Award For Her Dedication To Women And Children

First lady Melania Trump took to Twitter, on Friday, to express her gratitude to Kuwait-American Foundation after they honored her with humanitarian award for her dedicated work to help children.

“Thank you to Kuwait-America Foundation for this year’s Humanitarian Award!,” she tweeted.

“My goal as FLOTUS is to positively impact the lives of children & effect change within our next generation,” Trump added.

President Donald Trump was also present when the first lady received the award on Tuesday, at the Kuwait embassy in Washington, D.C.

Sheiha Rima Al-Sabah, wife of Kuwait Ambassador Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah, said that the first lady contributed significantly by helping children with the greatest needs.

According to Kuwait News Agency, Melania Trump is completely dedicated to “being a powerful force for good, not just in the United States, but everywhere,”.

“Because of her own path, she understands better than most what it is like to leave home behind. She knows what it takes to learn a new language, a new culture — to call a new land home. And she brings this understanding to the important work she does, day in and day out,” she said.

Melania Trump considers that one can measure the society’s humanity by the way the weakest, the most vulnerable and the children who are not able to defend themselves are treated, speak up when abused or find help when desperately needed.

She also added that children mostly need the parental love to survive.

“Because of her own path, she understands better than most what it is like to leave home behind. She knows what it takes to learn a new language, a new culture — to call a new land home. And she brings this understanding to the important work she does, day in and day out,” she said.
